Welcome to HERMES Training Section!

As exploration and exploitation of ocean resources moves to deeper water, we must increase our understanding of ocean margin ecosystems and ensure sustainable management of these resources. The new knowledge shall be made available to, inter alia, researchers, policy makers and future leaders i.e. students.
 

HERMES  is committed to train a new generation of experts on deepsea ocean margins from within and outside of Europe by offering educational activities and training opportunities. A list of students involved in the HERMES project is listed here.
 

HERMES study areas are in the Nordic Margin, Porcupine Rockall Margin, Portuguese Margin, Gulf of Cadiz, Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean, and the Black Sea.
